Seminar: Spatial and temporal analysis in Forestry and Precision Agriculture applications
Date and place: 21st November 2025, 11 h, Sala de Graus ETSEAFIV
Prof. Sytze de Bruin, Associate professor in Geographical Information Science within the Laboratory of geo-information science and remote sensing, Wageningen University (The Netherlands) (https://www.wur.nl/en/persons/sytze-de-bruin-1.htm).
Seminar topics:
- Spatial and temporal prediction and estimation, which includes mapping of environmental variables, quality assessment and validation, uncertainty analysis and spatial and temporal sampling in relation to fitness-for-purpose evaluation.
- Spatial optimization, such as coverage planning for autonomous agricultural vehicles and route optimization for the energy infrastructure.
In addition, in the meeting, areas of mutual interest and identify possibilities for collaboration, within the context of the Euroleague for Life Sciences (ELLS) and otherwise, can be discussed.
